Melbourne and Cousin

Wow, its been a looong time since I have posted something on my blog....like anymone reads it anyway :P
But since my exams are finally over and I'm basically rotting on my couch, I guess I should make my time a lil more worth while :P
Went to Melbourne recently to visit my relatives. Im terms of the environment, I didn't enjoy it very much. The weather was dreadfully cold and so were the toilet seats, the clothes were expensive, shops close so early in the afternoon, dfo (direct factory outlets) were a waste of time and there was nothing to see in the city. I guess thats because Aussie doesn't really have an identity of its own..its all rojak. Went to the Tim Burton exhibition and that was about it. The rest of my week was spent at home with my cousins. It made me realise how fast time has passed. From attempting to ride bikes in Singapore to petting deers in Lake Gardens and alas talking about relationships at the comfort of her heated room. Not gonna blog about what we talked about but who knew having a guy in your life could be that....challenging and time consuming :O
My friend whom I met for dinner at Melbourne also recently had a dude so she fills me on the details about gross stuff (well not gross to her) like Frencies and Hickeys. And woahhh, i never really knew how hickeys were formed until now thanks to ... .... :P Basically sounds like you're neck is making out with a vacuum cleaner. And having another person's saliva and tongue in your mouth doesn't sound so appealing either, with the teeth clashing and what not. But she assured me by saying "the first time was weird and then it gets better....just have to get used to it" And my reaction would be _____________________________________________urrrhuhhh...????....????

Guess its the kinda thing that people have to experience to find it appealing. But wow, that was and interesting talk. Sigh they are all so experienced now :P

My last day at Melbourne ended with my cousin and I singing loudly in the car to Kanye West's Gold Digger and Lady Gaga's Paparazzi. We had quite a laugh there while our mums were quitely listening. Good things had to come to an end when I hugged my cousin goodbye, tring to hold back the tears. As long as I can remember, even when she lived in Singapore, saying goodbye took a bucket full of tears as I was crying on the way back home. Friends may come and go but cousins are forever

English Test

IELTS is tomorrow. Haven't been writing essays for a year..I am so dead! Sooo, what do I do? Write on my bloggg!! At least by exercising my brain now, I would not be at a lost for words when writing the essay :P Smart cookieee...not!
Ok so what they usually ask to write are stuff that I am completely clueless about, like the governement, technology and all the topics that grown ups are supposed to know. These essay topics are literally meant for uni graduates.

Ok, I will now attempt to test my own knowledge about the world today.
Lets talk about, the importance in training for work than just a broad based education (got it from my IELTS book)
Ok............u need to train for workkk cuzzzzz..... it allows u to gain more experience on how to deal with people. Ummmm, people can be hard to deal with sometimes so training them to handle situations that involves customer service would allow them to build up their comunication skills and their people skills. (I hope that is a valid point)
Training is also important in medicine as it would allow students to improve on their clinical skills. They will be able to handle real life situations and also express their sympathy towards patients.
Oh crabby cakes..........i dont know what a broad based education really means -.-

Next essay topic,
Business education and training today must promote environmental awareness.
Lets seee.....business education.....man i dunno what that is all about -.- Time to tembak.. The environment plays an important role in a balanced ecosystem...if the enviroment is polluted, there is a limited chance of survival in animals and even humans. For example, when managing a business that involves the usage of depleting resources like trees (are trees even a depleting resource?!?!), a business man should also plan to plant the trees that have been cut down. Business educations should emphasise on the importance of using renewable resources....ummmm...and how to manage waste...

Ok, i am gonna sleep now....I can't bare to do this anymore :( Besides, I have to wake up at 7 am ON A SATURDAY, just for the test......... =S Wish me luck! Although I am not much of a lucky person, but i am blessed :)

PUNCHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Went to an education fair cuz I wanted to find out more about dentistry and how to apply to the universities..Went there, enquired...and it was like someone had sucker punched me on my face. The representatives of the universities where so negative, discouraging me from persuing the course..

"700 applicants and 5 places for international students, there are other things that you can do, u can work in the background and find cures to ailments instead of being the person that will administer the cure blablablablabla..."
I WANT TO BE ONE ADMINISTERING THE CURE DANGGIT!!

Its so frustrating when someone discourages you to do something when you have already set your mind to it. Of course all they are tring to do is do their job, telling the fact of the matter is...that it is almost impossible to get a place for dentistry. sighhhhhh, i guess in the end, you can never plan where you will be heading, its not all up to me...its up to the interviewers and lecturers, whether they want me to be in their university, whether they want me to do dentistry.
But in times of frustration, I thank God for helping me get this far, to get interviews for all the universities that I have applied to. In the end, God will make the final decision..if it was denstined that I didn't not get a place for dentistry, then so be it. If I did, I would be excedingly glad :) I guess its all about accepting it and moving on.
I shall not be stressed over this, i shall not be stressed over this, i shall not be stressed over this times 5...
Im cool...Time to prepare for another interview..haizz :P I will end this with a bible verse

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid~ John14:27

Lololololoveveveve

Supposed to be sleeping now but, tomorrow college starts at 12 soo :D I'm happy!
But the yucky thing is that I'm going for a blood test..have to piss in a cup -.- and yes, i have no shame in writing that for everyone to see since its a fact..I have to get used to this kind of stuff if I want to be a good doc :P Still, I'm not too excited about that..
So valentines day is coming up, and I am being bugged with the same question profusely,
"Who is your valentine?" "Got a valentine??"
And my answer will be something sarcastic like...plentiful
But whats with this day anyway...is it the only day out of 365 days that you would take the trouble to buy roses and chocolates? oh, other than birthdays and anniversaries of course :P Shouldn't everyday be valentines?? Come to think of it, if that were to happen, there would be built in pocket holes on men's trousers. I read an article about love awhile ago, and it definitely changed my perception on the topic.
Love ain't about showering people with flowers, love ain't about candlelight dinners, love is about sacrifice. sacrificial love, is what I learn in bible class, and it definitely applies to everyone. Love is about going through the hard times, willing to do favors for your partner despite being absolutely reluctant to do so. And the smile of appreciation on the person's face just makes it all worth it. That is what I call love...from a person with the least experience in this topic :P
But dont be all corny saying stuff like, I will swim the atlantic for you, I will protect you and care for you till the end of time =.= like people are not capable of taking care of themselves :P
Oh, my bed is calling me now, time to cut this post short...bottom line is: love is blind and deaf
happy early valentines :D

It was like a dose of sanity in a schizophrenic world.. But they could only stay for 5 days, and half the time, I had to stay at home to study for my exams.. unable to go shopping with them.. Sad wei...sad... :(
And I had an interview recently from the university of my dreamssss!!! The interview was.....AIsudhsafkasdjldkfjsdkbfrkjbwelkjr
Some parts were good, while other parts were pure awkward..and I said 'lah' twice =X I didn't intend to say it, but I'm Malaysian..what can I do??
I think that's all I'm gonna blog about..have to resume studying physics =S Shall blog more after exams :)
