A New Year

Well, looks like 2009 has started with a bang, by bang, I mean the fireworks that exploded with indescribable colours of brilliance.. okay forget the sentiment now, I am so freakishly sad, depressed and sleepy. After all the hard work and the countless amount of challenges that I have faced since 2008, its like i have to start all over again, another year, another 365 days of labour and strive. If only 2009 wouldn't come, if only December consisted of 50 days, if only if only.
As I gazed up to the sky, looking at the fireworks that displayed such happiness and optimism, I felt nothing. The wonderful display was a contrast as to what i felt deep inside me.
Another day of toil
Another day of suffering
Another day of loneliness
Another day of struggle
Another day of anger
Another day of sadness
Another day of misery
Yet, I should be thankful for another day that God has provided for me,
Another day of happiness
Another day of joy
Another day of thankfulness
Another day of prayer
Another day of hope
Another day of redemption
Another day to love
Hopefully, 2009 will bring me more joy instead of sorrow, to everyone who reads my blog, may you all have a blessed year ahead :)

DU COC Church Camp- Day 2

DAY 2
Didn't sleep well, woke up at 4 in the morning. Disturbed by coughing sounds in the room next to mine. Recharged myself by playing badminton and ping pong (my 1st time playing ping pong), then went to my friend's room to watch some Alvin & the Chipmunks, the fat little chipmunk was sooo cute! Didn't follow the adults that were going jungle trekking, cuz there are leeches in Pahang :P Instead, Zach, Sandra, Beverly and I went exploring on our own, along the road, were no leeches were to be found. There were some steep stairs that were leading up to a small hill so we decided to be all adventurous and went to see what was at the top of the hill. Turns out, it was some kind of praying site. There was a red looking pitch fork in the middle of the site and a can of beer next to it :P
Walked near the golf course and took some pictures of us and the scenery. When there were cars coming our way, Zach would take on the role as a traffic police, conducting traffic by whistling waving his hands like a pro. Haha, you should see the look of the drivers' faces, they probably thought that we were mentally retarded kids :P Then Zach decided to do that to a real police officer that was driving towards us. The policeman stopped. Oh no :P
Thank goodness he was friendly man, and asked my matsalleh friend where he was going and blahblahblah. Went back, for lunch and went out again to see a waterfall. Wanted to have scones at the Ye Olde Smokehouse but they were all full, wanted to have roti pisang at a malay store but they ran out of bananas. Mannn! Was contented with the cookies that I bought, ate them all. Had steamboat for dinner, then had devotion and singing. The devotion was about Daniel and his friends who stood up for what they believe in and were willing to be martyrs for they trusted in the Lord. Then we played charades and my team won! After that the youth stayed back to sing some songs. I learned this song, (the lyrics might not be 100% accurate)
"Love one another for love is of God
He who loves is born of God and knows God
Hes who does not love
Does not know God, for God is love
God is love"
And there were different lyrics for the sopranos, tenors and bases but when we sang it together, it felt so complete.

DU COC Church Camp- Day 1

Date: 22nd-24th of December
Venue: Pine resort, Frasers Hill

DAY 1
The 2 hour journey up to the hill was long, winding and nauseating, and the fact that my dad drove as fast he could didn't help either. Didnt reach the Gap on time (only 5 minutes late) so we had to wait for an hour before we could drive up to the resort. While I was waiting, I saw a group of youth hanging around and they started singing some church songs that were pretty familiar to me. On the back of a dude's shirt wrote:
PADANG PASIR CHURCH OF CHRIST
What are the odds :P
Was so happy to arrive at the resort, that was until I saw the lunch provided by the resort... mmm, unappetising. Took a break and then went out to play badminton. Headed to the tennis court too for the telematch hosted by the resort staff. The games that they made up were
*given 3 blocks of wood step on them without stepping on the ground and use them in a way that we can reach the finish line
* fill the bottle with water using a sponge ( how wet)
* dig out sweets from a bowl full of flour using our mouth (i was white for a day, and flour on your mouth doesn't taste good)
* two people facing each other need to carry the balloon to the finish line with their hands on their backs (my team won that challenge :))
Then had a break and played Counter Strike with my friend. I somehow had a hard time killing the terrorists, but they didn't have a hard time killing me :P Dinner was not as bad as lunch, but
I didn't eat much. Had devotion and singing, then played pictionary.
END OF DAY 1

Just Rocky

Went to Hard Rock to have a birthday dinner with my parents. Never been to Hard Rock before but there wasn't anything special about the food there, just burgers (eww), sandwiches, meat, more meat, and different types of meat :P That place is crazy, a burger there costs RM30! 30 bucks for a freakin burger???! Now, I've seen everything!
I was so shocked to find two males in their late 50s and three teenagers ( judging from their looks) ages between 15 to 18 were drinking beer! Seriously, they let their kids drink beer?! What in the world is wrong with them?? Were the two elderly men drunk even before they started drinking or did the effects of alcohol in the long run damaged the function of their brain? Seriously, the world is becoming a twisted place, much worse than Sodom and Gomorrah?? Yes, wayyyy worse. I had to look at them in disgust, couldn't help it. Its like a picture of a disaster just waiting to happen. You know what, I'll take that back, NOW, I've seen everything!

Surprise Surprise

Planned to go out with Megan and Aveena yesterday to celebrate my birthday and Megan's belated birthday. At the last minute, Aveena called and said that Megan couldn't come! I was soooo annoyed :P Then I smsed Megan and she said she had the chicken pox, so I felt kinda guilty for expecting her to be there. When we reached 1U Aveena called her 'mother' (it was actually Ayesha :P) saying that we had arrived. Decided to go to TGI Fridays (never eaten there:P). Wanted to use the outside entrance but Aveena wanted to see 'some earrings' and insisted in using the entrance inside 1U. Went in and Aveena started walking further and further into the restaurant. I was like wondering, hey there's a table over here why must we go to the back??? And to my surprise, Megan and Ayesha were waiting in the restaurant and calling out, "SURPRISE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" I was like calling Megan an ass so many times for pranking me! I cant believe I'm soooo gullible!! Chicken pox?? I thought she had them when she was young!
After lunch, Aveena and Megan went to 'get the bill' I was really suspicious as the bill was taking such a long time to come. Then this waiter walked in with a piece of birthday cake with an ice cream on top and before I knew it, I was standing on the chair making a mini speech to my friends with a ketcup bottle as a microphone. That waiter made me do it!!! Then he and his waiter friends started cheering some words that I couldn't seem to catch. I was trying to smile, but I was so embarrassed! I wanted to kill Aveena :P
Then went to the movies to watch Bolt in 3D. The movie wasn't that nice but the 3D thing was so cool. My nose hurt from those heavy 3D glasses that we had to wear, too bad we couldn't get to keep them :P Then went to the photo booth to get sticky pictures, hate those machines that have instructions in Japanese, like who can read them here??
All in all I had a great time. I'm actually kinda impressed, it was such an elaborate scheme almost enough to give me a heart attack due to too much surprises. All the lies that they have concocted (that is, the words that I highlighted with colours = 4 lies) just to surprise me, awwww you shouldn't have! That was the best birthday celebration I have ever had! Thanks to my friends and their highly planned scheme that made this event possible :P

Second Trip

Went to Penang again yesterday, this time, only my dad and I went to see the historical sites that the island has to offer. Went to the Yeoh Kongsi where my ancestors once lived, its like a few rows of houses with a huge temple in the middle, i think they lived prosperously if you ask me. Couldnt go in to see it though cuz its being refurbished. Then, I went to the Yeoh Jetty where my ancestors first landed on the island. Its kinda cool to see that my ancestors had made a mark on Penang, wonder if i could do that, that is, make a mark on the world, not just Penang :P They must have been really courageous to leave behind their past in China and come to a foreign island to start over a new life.
After that, we went to the Cheah and Lee Kongsi but it was closed, Hari Raya and all. Then, explored Fort Convorlis where Francis Light (uh, History again :P) signed an agreement with the people of Penang so that he could have control over the island. There were a few cute guys there, the Brits and the Chinese, not bad :P After that, I insisted my dad to take me to Queensbay Mall cuz I like window shopping :) All in all, I had loads of fun, never knew Penang was that interesting!

The Feeling that Something is Missing

In Kulim now visiting my grandparents. Went to Penang yesterday for church and then for asam laksa at Balik Pulau. Their laksa is like the best in the whole wide universe, so authentic, so heaven sent. Had two bowls of it cuz the serving is kinda small :P I can never get tired of eating that RM2.5o bowl of noodles to die for. I just love going to Penang cuz somehow being on a small island where the wind blows on the palm trees cuz of a phenomenon called sea breeze (physics is still stuck in my head :P)makes the world seem more peaceful and tranquil. There isn't any Astro at my parents house so I'm dead bored. Tried to sms friends to get rid of my boredom but they failed me miserably :P Cant wait to go home and learn how to drive. I'm not really excited like most people, I see it as more of a phase that i have to go through. Man I'm bored.........i really cant live without TV!

Celebration

To celebrate the end of SPM, my friends and I went to play futsal at Bangsar. The scorching hot sun beamed onto our sun block protected skin. Our competitive spirit against the opponent ignited like the flames of fury from the sun.
Haha, how dramatic, but the sun was really scorching hot. Seven people were divided into two teams, my team had one teammate more that the opponent's team. How fair:) Half time, our team were leading 3-2 all thanks to goals from Sook Han and Kavita. I helped by passing the ball to them, cuz I am so not a scorer. I cant score a goal to save my life.
Had loads of fun even though we didn't really make full use of the time given to us to rent the court. Too tired, too hot, not used to playing futsal outdoors ;) Went to my friend's house to find shelter from the sun and played a PS2 game called Guitar Heroes (sounds somethin like that, cant remember) Sook Han and I were playing against Asfarina's brother. And even that, he still managed to beat us. I guess two heads aren't always better than one!

SPM is over!!!!!!!

Haha, i wanted to blog about this earlier but after spm, i went shopping the whole day :P But the main message that Im trying to stress here is that Im FREEEEEEEEE! I have been waiting for this wonderful day since the beginning of Form 5. And now its OVERRRR!! All in all, I think that the Bio paper was the toughest, 2nd Add Maths (dang, didn't finish on time!) I celebrated my freedom by going to BSC, it was sooooo boring! Looks totally different on the outside but almost the same on the inside, what a scam! Felt soo bored so I went to the Gardens! Didn't buy anything though, just like looking and walking in malls :)
Cant wait for my cousin to come! The best thing about the end of the year is my cousin coming to town :) She lives all the way in Melbourne so I hardly get the chance to see her. Uh, gonna have so much fun!!
Aveena!! Faster finish your Accounts already! Wanna watch a movie! Twilight?? :P

Bittersweet

ahahahahaahahaha!!!!!!!!!
I cant believe SPM is almost over! Uhhh, I have been waiting for this day for sooo long. By Thursday, I will be absolutely free from the bondage of SPM!!!! Yet its kind of a bittersweet moment.

The sweet part of this is that I will no longer have to wear school uniforms and wake up at 6.40 in the morning, I will no longer have to write loong essays in BM using peribahasas and what not and I will get to drive to college.

The bitter part of this is that I will probably lose contact with my friends that I have come to know for the past 5 years, I wont be able to play badminton or football with them during PE, I wont be able to skip class and stalk guys with Fatin, I wont be able to play cards or the coin game with the poker gang at the back of my class, I will have to start over from scratch in a new environment where strangers are my closest friends, and I will no longer get to walk to Aveena's house after school and play with Sandy.

Wow, I didn't realise this at first but there are way more bitter parts to this than the sweet. Oh great, guess I have to get used to it from now on :(

The Rules of Play:
1) link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog.
2) share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3) tag 7 people at the end of your post (link or not, up to you)
4) let them know they are tagged.

7 common Facts :

The Random and the Weird

1. Im a little blur sometimes. Like there was one time when I was in the Chemistry lab and my teacher was teaching somethin boring. So my friend asked me, " Are you paying attention?" I responded, " Huh, must pay ah?"
I thought she asked me whether I was going to pay her ten cents :P

2. I wanna get msn after chatting with Aveena using my cbox

3. Haha, Im a lil dumb too. Once, i called my friend up to ask him if he was coming for a party. He told me that he was in the middle of sms-ing me the answer, so I hung up :P

4. I think Mc Egg from McDonalds is the tastiest unhealthy thing i have ever had in my life.

5. I have a pet bird like chicken like peacock like turkey

6. I hate egoistic guys! If you're wrong just say you're sorry

7. I go for the chicken wings everytime :)

Just For Aveena

Now this is what I call cute! By cute I mean William Moseley not the other dude Av! :P

Its History!

Cant believe Im still blogging, but whatever. Only 5 more days of exams to sit. The worst is over, and now I can go burn my History books! Now if only I have a fireplace... I know, how patriotic of me, but these are the only words I can think of to describe and express how FREE!!!!! I feel. Also, I wont be using BM anymore, ahahahaha!
Cant believe I chose to write about my perfect future husband for my English essay paper. Ahaha, I probably wasnt thinking straight.
Graduation day was good, took loads of pictures shook hands with teachers and witnessed many people crying, even guys. I didn't cry though, okay maybe there was A TEAR in my eyes and maybe I blew my nose a little but that was it! Anyways, I better hit the books, have Add Maths on TUESday :(

Its Never the Right Time to Say Goodbye

Unless I'm asking for trouble, this will be the last post that I would be writing in a VERY LONG time, well, till my exams finish, that is on the 27th of November. Uh, cant wait for that day.
Got a letter from HELP telling me that I got some merit scholarship. Oh joy, yet why do I feel anything but joyful? Maybe its cuz I might be missing my friends that I have gotten to know for the past 4 years (some even longer than that) as most of them will be going to Talyors. On the other hand, if I go to Talyors instead of HELP, I wont be seeing Aveena anymore. And she is one of my closest friends in school. UHHHHHHH, so hard to decide!
And of course I have no clue which of these two is the better college, so I have to do some research before I make my decision. My dad said that its a lot harder to score straight A's for A-Levels if I go to Taylors. You see, my dad thinks I'm not smart enough so he suggested that I should take the 'easier' route and go to HELP. Cow lah....
Btw, the ED Board dinner was pretty fun, took lots of pictures with friends in their Halloween costumes, performed a song with Ayesha and Daniel (although I have to say that I sucked big time, stupid mike was too soft) and cam-whored in the girl's bathroom with friends (though I normally don't do that, trust me). Yeah, those are the memories worth remembering.
Tomorrow is graduation day, and Im bringing my camera to store, keep and cherish the memories that come my way. I'm gonna miss my friends, teachers, my desk, the guys I stalk and the poker gang at the back of my class. Uh, sometimes I wish that time could stop for the unprepared soul.

Feeling Blue

Argh! I hate Liverpool! Cant believe Chelsea lost to them! This was the 1st EPL match I had watched this year and they HAD to lose. To top that off, Im feeling sick for the past two days probably due to food poisoning and SPM is just two weeks away!
Ayesha and I are supposed to perform for ED Board dinner and we're singing Bottle It Up by Sara Bareilles. We havent practice the song with the guitarist and Im kinda freakin out cuz I have never sang on stage before. Man, I'll probably choke on stage but not to worry, Ayesha is a professional.
I have been borrowing DVDs from Aveena and I recently watched 'The Other Boyeln Girl'. The movie is pertty good but the king is such an evil, obsessed-in-getting-a-male-heir sex addict. And to think that this person once existed in this world and used the name of God to justify his acts, is just appalling. I have read about king Edward the 8th before and he was much worse than he is in the movie.
Oh well, at least he got what he deserved in the end, a female heir to the throne. ( his only son died at 15, boo hoo!)

Shocking

Yesterday, in the newspapers I saw the most shocking picture in my life, Manchester United players wearing BLUE! What in the world? They have blue jerseys now? Why must they steal Chelsea's signature colour that doesnt even look good on them? Ugh! I guess red is not their winning colour :P

Got Me Thinking

The other day, my friend asked me,
" Have you been thinking of what to do after SPM?"
" Not really..."
"What?! When my exams were one month away, I already thought of what to do after that!"
Now that got me thinking, so I decided to make a list of what to do after SPM. Hopefully, I would be able to fulfill every one of my wishes :)

THINGS TO DO AFTER SPM
1. Get MSN, i know, sad...
2. Get facebook and delete friendster account
3. Learn to play the electric guitar
4. Buy a Nancy Drew computer game :P I hardy play games so this will be interesting. Eyeing on The Phantom of Venice.
5. Hopefully, go to the Church Youth Camp. Interested in the camp at Perth. The brochure was so appealing,..... rock climbing, abseiling, beach side fun overlooking the Indian Ocean..... sigh, how relaxing!
6. Maybe get a job? Wanna experience the working life.
7. Choose between Taylors and HELP college
8. Learn how to drive :P
9. Get a car? If my dad is generous.... :) Planning on buying a second hand car.
Too many cars out there already, must they produce some more?
10. Go on a holiday! Don't care, just wanna get away from this place! How bout Turkey? :P

That is all I can think of, for now :)

The Star

As I looked up to the sky last night,
I tried to find a glimmer of light.
I searched among the blankets of clouds,
Not one star was to be found.
Alas, a sparkle that caught my eye,
One miserable star was in the sky.

I pitied the star that had to fight the night
She cried for help but no one was in sight
She looked down to find that no one noticed her plight
Alone she carried the burden of shining her light

Boredom Strikes

Sigh....... So bored, nothing to do but study.....a month more to 8 days of hell! And yup, I'm not at school because its even more boring there, well not really, I would probably be playing cards in front of my teacher again. I just cant study in school, too noisy and too many temptations keeping me away from my books. So I have decided to play truant as long as I can so that I wont feel so guilty for not studying in school.
So I've got some of my trial marks, and so far so good. The marks that I'm most proud of is Add Maths. I got a 78, an A1 for Add Maths! That I did not expect. This is the highest I have ever gotten for the subject in Form 5 and I thought that this paper was the hardest Add Maths paper I have ever set for in my entire life! So happy :) but I'm sure that my History, Physics and Chemistry marks would dampen my spirit. I'll just have to wait and see....
My astro decoder is busted so I cant watch anything except DVDs. Currently watching the Lord of The Rings, and yes I have never watched not even one of the three movies made until two weeks ago. How 'ketinggalan zaman' of me. Just don't fancy those type of movies but I have to admit that the trilogy is pretty good. Uh, Elijah Wood has such piercing blue eyes. He look pretty cute in the movie but not so in reality :P

Tagged By Eunice

RULE :Each player of this game starts off with 15 weird things / habits / little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 15 weird habits /things / little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end, you need to choose 10 people to be tagged and list their names. No TAG backs!

1. I mostly eat organic food. People might say that I'm a hippie of something, I even eat organic peanut butter for goodness sake!
2. I like stalking guys. I know tisk tisk of me but a girl needs some entertainment once in awhile! Besides, its not that I like the guys I stalk, otherwise I wont make myself look so silly now would I? So my fellow victims, no hard feelings?!
3. I have a weird taste in music. I like Indie Rock for some reason. Bands such as the Arctic Monkeys and our local band Hujan have such insanely nice songs, with the electric guitars and all. And Tokio Hotel rocks! Their German:)
4. I have a pet bird called Mr Sunny. It doesn't really look like a bird though, its like a chicken/bird. My friend thought it was a turkey for some reason. Uh, why cant I just have a dog like everyone else?
5. I watch football. N I support Chelsea! Don't like ManU (too aggressive and rough, sorry Ayesha!), Liverpool is okay, but a friend of mine supports that club so I just say that they suck to spite him :) Arsenal is okay too.
6. I think Michael Ballack is sooo hot! Ditto to William Moseley!
7. I love dogs, hate cats. Cats just keep on defecating on my garden! Maybe its because my dad accidentally drove over two kittens before :( Vindictive cats..
8. My birth date is so cool! 12/12 This I can never forget.
9. Haha, the sweetest thing a guy has ever done for me was cleaning up my desk in school cuz I puked on it. I owe him.
10. I cant live without tv. I watch: The Simpsons, Scrubs, The Nanny, Oprah and Ugly Betty. Cant stand shows with too much sexual activities on it! Like be realistic man! Think of the young minds that you're polluting! Ooh, and I think White Chicks is the funniest movie of all time!
11. I plan on taking up the electric guitar after SPM.
12. Ah, my favourite number
13. Ballack's jersey number!
14. I'm really close with my cousin Andrea. Shes the best, like my long lost twin or somethin. But shes all the way in Aussie. Might I add that shes reaaaallllyy pretty!
15. I used to believe bad things people say about someone else. Not anymore.

Now, I taggg:
* Sue Hsien (revenge is sweet :))
* Aveena (You're the victim again :P)
* Irina (get a cbox lah!)

A Short Breeze..

Man does the holidays pass by like a breeze. It didnt feel like a holiday to me since I was basically studying my head off everyday. And its not like I volunteered to do so, my dad was pestering me frequently and it got on my nerves. So I gave in. Oh no, here he comes...

(2 minutes later)

How predictable... He told me that I wasnt studying...Wrong place and wrong time dad!
I was supposed to go 'balik kampung' but because SPM is around the corner, I decided that I'd better not go. I was kinda sad, really wanted to see my grandma. So I called her to tell her the news and she said that its okay, and of course reminding me to study hard. So I am, just for grandma :)

I did get to see Mamma Mia though, and it was pretty good. Frankly, I dont mind watching it again, Just have a thing for musicals. I was humming Abba songs for the next two days because of that movie. I was so surprised that Pierce Brosnan was able to sing..well, for an actor. He sounded Hispanic when he was singing though. During the movie, my dad was singing along to the songs and it was soooo embarrassing.... and annoying :P Hes kinda tone deaf so you could hear the wrong notes he was singing. I felt kinda sorry for the poor girl who was sitting next to him :P

Dancing queen young and sweet only seventeen.......

Free..... for 2 Days

Eating a tub of organic yoghurt in front of the computer..now thats life. I feel so utterly relaxed after two weeks of non stop exams. Nw Im freee! To do nothing much. My tv is busted so I have nothing to watch except Mr Sunny running around in his cage. But Im gonna hit the books again on Sunday, I promise! Just couldnt understand the physics test, it was soooo hard, the hardest paper of all the subjects. I dont think Im gonna get straight As this time. Oh well!
Cant wait to go for futsal on Sunday. Just have the desire to kick balls! Nothin much to write... gonna end with Happy Holidays!

What Shall We Ask Her?

"Good morning," I wished them.
"Hello, please take a seat."
(i grabbed a chair to sit)
"So it says here that you wanna be a dentist. Why?"
"Well, its a very fulfilling job being able to help people with their physical appearance and their oral health. I'm a science person and artistic at the same time. So things like scaling the teeth and realigning the teeth..."
(she started laughing)
"...utilizes the artist's touch," I said with a smile.
"But why dentistry? Having to look into people's teeth and all?"
" Well, i go to this really good dentist..."
" I have a really good dentist too, who is your dentist?"
" Her name is ********** from Sri Hartamas, and she always tells me how nice her job is and all "
" Oh I think I've heard of her, so shes really good with child psychology?
"Yeah" I smiled again.
" So do you keep your teeth cleaned?"
" Yeah, i brush and floss everyday, " :)
"Lets be honest here, you probably are looking into other colleges right?"
" No, I only applied for a scholarship at ************."
" But why *******?"
" Because I have friends who study here and they tell me that the A-Levels here is really good," I said.

This was what I had to go through today. My very first interview, well my first important one at least. I was pretty scared, had butterflies in my stomach. But they were pretty nice, although they seem to think that being a dentist is a crappy job or somethin. They asked lots of questions but I'm too lazy to type. But I think I made this one mistake when I left, I forgot to put back the chair that I was sitting on to its original position. Ah well, at least now I would remember it for the rest of my life.

Silver

I am so proud of Lee Chong Wei, Malaysia's representative for the men's badminton singles for winning the silver medal at the Beijing Olympics. Its like the 1st time in 12 years that Malaysia has won a silver medal. We have never gotten gold before. So I just wanna say screw to the people who think that Chong Wei's lost was a disgrace to the country. Screw to the people who do not appreciate his gallant effort and brag of his loss. He not only had to face his opponent, he had to face the roaring crowd of more than a thousand that was not on his side as well. All in all, Im happy that he has gotten this far and Im sure that we'll be seeing him play like a World number 2 player should in matches to come.
Uh, I dont know why Im so patriotic all of a sudden, first the football match against Chelsea and now this?? Man, am i ready for National Service..

2 Strikes of Bad Luck

Turns out that life isnt going the way I had planned. Cuz
1. I got picked for National Service. Stuck in the wilderness for 3 months with no tv, not good. I had planned to get out of Malaysia as soon as im done with my A-Levels. Looks like I have to wait for a few months to start college.
2. I failed my Grade 8 piano again. I dont know whats wrong with the examiner. All the accusations he made about my pieces, dont even remember making those mistakes. Now I have to start all over with new pieces as the songs that I am playing now would not be valid next year..
At least I get to enjoy the futsal match my church is organising on Sunday. May that put my soul at ease! My dad is practically travelling the world right now. Going to Spain, Portugal and London, without me! Hope he gets me something therapeutic to cure my broken spirit! And to those who have not listen to David Archuleta's new song, Crush, I suggest you listen to it immediately! This song is definitely something I can relate to :)
"Do you ever think, when you're all alone
All that we could be, Where this thing could go
Am I crazy or falling in love
Is it real or just another crush
Do you catch a breath, when I look at you
Are you holding back, like the way I do
Cause I'm trying, trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin away"
sigh.....

Chelsea vs Malaysia

The night's air was still and humid at Stadium Shah Alam. Yet, not even the weather could stop the fans from cheering themselves silly. I arrived at the match a little late due to traffic. As many as 60000 football fans, congregated at the stadium witnessing the once in a lifetime match, and I am proud to say that I was one of them. I was really surprised cuz it turns out that the Malaysian team was not so bad after all. The goalkeeper, Helmi was fast and accurate in saving the ball. Although I was there to support Chelsea, I cheered for the Malaysian team too as the patriotic side in me was ignited by the supporters around me. I got to see Lampard, Ashley Cole and Terry probably about 40 feet away from where I was sitting. Thank goodness for the big screen tv that magnified their hot faces! I was pretty disappointed as Ballack didnt even play for a second during the match. He looked like he was ready to go on the pitch as he was warming up with Shevchenko. Shevchenko played and Ballack did not. Dang! Ballack looked sooo hot on the big screen tv that most of the female Chelsea supporters shouted his name, me included. There were four German guys holding German flags and signs written in their mother tongue. I think they wanted to see Ballack in action too cuz Balllack's name was written on those signs. They sang some song hoping to get his attention. Sadly, they did not succeed. There were plenty of cute Caucasian and Chinese guys near where I was sitting. But no guy can compete with the tall, fair and handsome Michael Ballack. A standing ovation was given to the Chelsea and Malaysian team for the exciting match. I really enjoyed the game despite the fact that I didnt get to see Ballack doing his thing. Im crossing my fingers hoping that Chelsea will make a second trip to Malaysia in the near future!

Te Quiero

Just remembered another highlight of my Form 3 years:
11. Had a thing for Spanish shows thanks to Megan. She introduced me to a Spanish show that was showing on Astro Ceria called Chiquititas. Its about orphans of ages 7-15 living in a huge castle-like orphange, having adventures together, hoping to find their parents. Its filled with lots of drama, love (kinda young to start though) and a few imaginary friends here and there! Man, those Argentinian guys were soo hot especially Phillipe although he was probably about 15 years old! He could pass for a 17 year old though. He and Ballack have similar traits, the eyes, the bone structure....drool :)~

Green Worms, Symbol of Curiosity

This year has been a touch and go for me. The saying that time flies when you are having fun is not true. I am so not having fun and yet time still flies. The thought of going to college just worries me because all of my senior friends agreed that the Form 5 years were the best. I beg to differ, I think Form 5 is the worst year of all my secondary school years. If I'm not having the time of my life now, just imagine what I'm gonna experience later. I miss those Form 3 years where everyone studied hard and had fun as well. I miss being a kid, running around the corridor stalking guys. I miss the friends I was close to, namely Megan and lots others. It was like the perfect class and everyone got along well. Form 5 is the opposite of this. I abhor my class as it is lifeless and the people there are so indifferent. Looking at my friend's post on his Form 5 years where he and his classmates were having fun raping each other and locking up their friends in a miniature prison made me think of the good times I used to had with my once close friends. I had to experience 7 friends saying their goodbyes as they went to study overseas. And I miss everyone of them! These were some of the highlights of my Form 3 years:
1. Going out to the movies with Megan, Aveena and Nazran. We felt a little awkward as he was the only dude!
2. Stalking a few guys with my entourage. My identity was revealed thanks to them!
3. There was a bug's nest at the corridor of our class. My friend, Sue Hsien poked it with a stick and green worms came out from it:S
4. Composing a fake love letter to George with my friends. The letter was anonymous and he actually believed it!
5. Singing 'Choo Pencil' with Ming Yu which was a remake of the song, Addicted by Simple Plan. It was part of our English play.
6. Ming Yu with his magic tricks being all David Blaine.
7. The football crazy times with the FIFA World Cup. Told everyone I knew that Ballack was hot. And he still is!
8. Geography. Miss the subject and the teacher that taught me, Pn Khoo!
9. The times when I was not talking to Sham because he said he loved me. He was just being sarcastic of course. And that was annoying.
10. And of course, not to forget, getting the highest in class for History! hehe, oh
and the straight A's for PMR!
I need an anti-depressant pill now, tomorrow and until I'm done with SPM.

A Day with 5 Girls & a Guy

My ex classmate, currently living in Aussie came back to Malaysia for the holidays. So we planned to go to lunch together with a few of her closest friends. We invited a few girls and guys but in the end, only 5 girls and a guy turned up. Felt bad for the dude though, having to stand six girls looking at guys as they pass through the Burger King drive-thru. Its not our fault, its just so happen that we sat next to the glass wall near the drive-thru counter! And some of the dudes were pretty cute, and no one should ignore that! Sigh, some guys just dont understand....For the guy's reputation sake, I shall not disclose his identity! It was the first burger I had eaten in 6 months. I know, wierd, but I dont find burgers that great. Besides, do you know how much saturated fats are there in a burger? I didnt even order a cup of Coke cuz who knows what its gonna do to my health. And Im not over reacting, there are plenty of experiments proving that carbonated drinks are unhealthy. Next, we went to my friends house and took some pictures. All in all, it was definitely a fun day and I bet that that guy enjoyed it too!
Oh yeah, so phyched that Im gonna watch Chelsea live in front of my very own eyes. Bought the tickets on Sunday. There's a picture of Ballack's face on the ticket.. sigh, sooo hot! And so what if Germany got 2nd? At least they made it to the finals! :P

Grade 8

Ahh, sat for my piano exam yesterday...oh I hope I pass this time as Im beginning to abhor playing the same songs day and night for the past 2 years! All in all, I played satisfactory, definitely better than last year. FYI: I failed last year. Sadly, I practically killed my sight reading test. My heart was beating so fast that it showed when I was playing my 1st song. I probably played it as fast as the speed of light. Dang! I dont want to go through this torture again and again, so Mr Examiner, please pass me!
At least I dont have to worry about piano for awhile therefore I can start concentrating on my studies. A sigh of relief there. So happy that Germany made it to the finals. Michael Ballack is such a hot and great captain. Some people just dont have good taste in guys!
Having another exam next week, and I havent been studying diligently so I better get to it now. Hope Germany wins the Euros, hope I pass my Grade 8 exam, hope I get an A1 for Add Maths, hope I sleep well tonight!

An Unsatisfied Blogger

Since Aveena was not impressed with the picture of Michael Ballack that I had posted recently, I have decided to upload another picture that would prove fussy Aveena wrong. He is soooo not 'not hot' (I refuse to type the word ugly cuz Michael Ballack and ugly does not go hand in hand unless your sentence is 'Michael Ballack is not ugly') Uh, some people can be so fussy! Oh well, I should please the reader's eyes too! Enjoy!

The Germans

The Barclays have pased, time for the Euros. And the team Im supporting is none other than GERMANY!! Heres a few of my favourite players that would definitely make an impact on the squad

Lukas Podolski

Miroslav Klose

Philip Lahm

Bastian Schweinsteiger
and last but not least, the insanely hot captain,

Michael Ballack

Cross my fingers and hope that they would win!

One and a Half Bowls and Counting

I cant believe the school holidays are almost over! I had the time of my life, finally got to sleep and wake up late. Woooh, thats what I call the time of my life...sad isnt it?
Anyways, missed the extra classes at school cuz I was on holiday visiting my grandparents both maternal and paternal ( blessed I am) at Ipoh and Kulim. Went to Penang too to visit my relatives who call the island their abode. Although I missed the mee udang that a local used to sell at Kulim, I found the next best thing, authentic asam laksa at Penang. We had to drive up and down hills for about 2o minutes before we could savour the bowl of noodles to die for. But it, thank goodness was all worth it! Dang, it is the best asam laksa Ive ever tasted, had one and a half bowls of it. We also visited a Penang heritage, a place called Khoo Kongsi. It had rows of beautiful shop houses that the Khoo family, who were immigrants from China lived loooong time ago. There were also a huge extravagant temple with carvings all over the place, including the ceiling, and a opera house with lion figures glued with colourful porcelain pieces on the arches of the roof. Man, those were simply amazing, proves how jobless yet creative people were during the olden times. All these modern gadgets and what not are garbage compared to the creativity people had during those days. Yet, I still cant live without them! Im glad that this piece of history is preserved and kept for younger people like me to witness and marvel. Looking at how the Khoo family lived which was in a peaceful and neighbourly environment makes me kinda jealous cuz we are definitely lacking a lot of that now. Man, I dont even know the neighbours living next to me. Kinda wish I could experience that... Wonder how it feels like..

When Disaster Strikes

I needed to blog about the recent earthquake in China that had an unbearable aftermath. My mum and I were watching the victims of the tragedy trapped under piles and piles of heavy concrete. They were stuck like rats in a trap. Sometimes its just the humane thing to ask why? Why must disasters like this happen? Well, on Sunday, this preacher from my church gave a very good answer from the book of Revelations. The answer: Its Gods will for this to occur. This is because He wants all of us to realise that this earth is not ours and the world is not our true abode. Our home is in heaven and the place we live now is just temporary. Whatever challenges that come our way, remember that this is the will of God. Even if it might seem hard at first, every cloud has its silver lining. May the Lord keep them safe.

Wet Fake Grass

Yesterday was such a miserable day because:
1. Chelsea lost the UEFA cup cuz of some penalty kicks againts ManU. Sooo unfair! Terry slipped cuz of the dumb wet weather and those lousy fake grass! Why in the world did they have the final match at a country where grass cant be grown because it is too cold?! I blame the grass...
2. The guys at my school were teasing and mocking me cuz Chelsea lost! They were mocking me like crazy! They even clapped sarcastically at me as I made my way up the school stairs! Eh, ManU supporters, expected that out of them!
3. Heard the news that David Cook won American Idol. Hes okay but I wanted Archuleta to win cuz of the last perfomance he did that showed that he wanted the title.

Thank goodnes the exams are over and the holidays have begun. Dont get your hopes up you ManU people, Chelsea is sooo gonna win next year and Germany will win the EURO cup, enough said!

The Ballack Shots

Oh yeah, thats what I'm talking about! Ballack has finally proven himself to unbelievers such as the guys in my school that he is superb after scoring two goals againts Manchester United! Oh man, I was pratically screaming when he managed to score the first goal, my neighbours were probably asking me to shut up or something. Eh, they only had to bare with me for a few minutes. Well, lets hope that Chelsea can win the EPL as well as the Champions League.

Ahh, I so wanna see Chelsea live before my very own eyes when they come to KL. The problem is, I have no clue where to get those tickets, and whose gonna take me there? My dad can't go cuz he would be at London when they come. Man, I so wanted to follow my dad to the land of fish and chips ..and football. But he would'nt let me cuz of SPM, I hate you SPM! If you were a person, I would give you a piece of my mind. But its kinda wierd though, its like fate is trying to tell me that I should'nt go to see Chelsea cuz Chelsea would be coming to me. I hope Michael Ballack comes to see muah (eh perasaaaaan), soo wannna give him a big hug, take a picture with him, would like a signature, his jersey, and some hair...Whoops, did I say too much?

Flash

Cameras, cameras, smile, smile, click, click, picture..thats what I was involved in at school for the whole day.. the big Picture Day finally came and my job was to bring the students to the photo shoot and ask them to button up their baju kurung, straighten their ties and blahblahblah! Oh, and did I mention that I accidentally stepped on barf as I was too engrossed with my duty..yeah, thank goodness I didnt smell like other people's puke cuz puke and sweat will equal to more madness! Well, it was pretty fun doing that, being in charge and telling juniors what to do..though the screams of teachers stressed me out a bit.. The best thing was, I got to see some cute guys at the same time! No, they are not from my form and I'm a senior so sorry to say that I'm checking out younger guys.. I know, tisk tisk of me but I cant help it! There aren't any cute guys in my form so I'm forced to do this.. Come on, a girl needs eye candy sometimes!

Nostalgia

Man, after the exams were over, I felt like jumping up and down thinking that Mr Stress Pants, this imaginary character I made up was finally out of my sight...man was I wrong..turns out that we have another test on the second week of April! Aahhh, only the Arctic Monkeys can save me now with their Brit accents and their electric guitar strummings...I was practically dying when I found out about my add maths marks...it is the lowest I've ever gotten and I feel so stuuupid! One thing for sure is my parents wont be too happy about my results... And the worst thing was, I studied the hardest for that subject...Aaaaah! i am sooo gonna make myself get an A this time so that I won't feel this bad for the rest of my life!
I went for the SLAD meeting today at 4Utarid which was my previous class last year.A pang of nostalgia hit me as I found my long forgotten class table where I used to doodle all kinds of nonsence on it. To my surprise, most of the doodles I drew were still there.. such as the Chelsea logo, the perfume bottle and the man with a hot body. Although the Chelsea Logo had sucks written on top if it, the new owner of my long forgotten table really took care of my sketches and drawings ...props to him for that..also, the words 'ManU is much 10000 times better than Chelsea' written by a friend who used to sit in front of me were still beaming on the table...ahhhh, those good old days seem so distant now since everyones moving forward....don't I wish I had a time machine right about now...

Running In Circles

Well, not exactly in circles.. more like rectangles around the housing area at Desa Sri Hartamas..yup, my school had Merentas Desa as well as Hari Kantin today. The 4km route was pretty tiring considering the fact that I have not been exercising ever since I climbed up Penang Hill..and that was during last years school holidays. I got the 26th place which was pretty satisfying as the whole Form 4 and 5 girls were competing as well. As usual, I felt like barfing immediately after I finished the race. But the best part of the day was Hari Kantin..yes, food is the heart to the soul, well to my soul at least. There were loads of food served at the basketball court which was the first cuz normally this joyous occasion is held at the school canteen...duh, hari canteen?? I bought a slice of pizza which costed a mind boggling RM3.50!! Crazy freak!! That miserable slice did not do me any good as I bought a stick of nuggets, cookies and rojak..
Not only did I eat, but I sold food for the English Club as well. We sold cookies, brownies with ice-cream and cupcakes and made a profit of RM350! How sweet is that?! Well, I definitely enjoyed myself and thank goodness I did cuz it is the last Merentas Desa and Hari Kantin that I will ever have.

Valentines

Yes ,Valentines Day...what an ingenious way to spend all your money by buying all the flowers you can get and giving them to your love ones. Though I believe that the bigger the flower, the larger the quantity of pesticides sprayed, most people dont really bother or even realize as they are too engrossed in smelling the 'sweet' aroma it gives off.. eww, just imagine smelling pesticides on Valentines...Hmmm, how about chocolates, you might ask..well, giving your gal a box of chocolates clearly means that you want her to finish it all by herself and in result, make her FAT the rest of the year..Have no fear, you can make your love ones happy without practically injecting pesticides and saturated fats into her system. All you have to do is pay 50 cents to the ED board and you would leave your love ones awwwing till they cant awe anymore..terms and conditions apply...
Anyway, I think this Valentines left Fatin and I so alone... sure we got some chocolates from our fellow friends but its just not the same without Sue Hsien and the guy I like who is definitely not in my school...oh well Im a saggitarius, I was meant to throw bows and arrows to make people fall in love...and I did, well I tried! I managed to convince some of my friends to do something big as it is going to be their last year in the school.. some of them did and it all turned out perfecto! Well sort of... I guess I was born to be a saggitarius so lets hope that I can hit my own target soon.. Of course, after SPM!!

In Memory of Mee Udang

Cant believe the Chinese New Year holidays are almost over! As usual, I went to visit my grandparents at Kulim, and now Im stopping by at Ipoh. I got to skip school on Tuesday to go balik kampung and it was too bad i didnt get to see those Japanese students who visited our school! Oh maannn!! Aveena told me some of the Jap guys were pretty good looking and when I mean PRETTY good looking Im saying that thier practically girly looking.. well thats whay my friend told be and honestly Im not that surprised. Its not that their born girly, they made themselves that way...hey, thats fashion and beauty for you, Japanese stlye..
Anyway, I wanted to have lunch at this Malay kampung house that sells the best mee udang Ive ever eaten. Sadly, the owner told us that he stopped selling the dish as the price of fresh prawns has increased to the extent that their usual customers couldnt afford it. To them RM 5 for a bowl of noodles is pretty expensive. It might be cheap for a city person but it aint cheap for them..
I am totally dissapointed! Now Im never gonna experience what I believe is a bowl of noodles to die for!
I went to Penang to visit my cousins and relatives and we stopped by at Queansbay Mall to have lunch. We had Sushi King and tried out their Yee Sang. I thought it was pretty good but my mum beg to differ. I then stopped by some shops and ended up buying a jacket blouse that was on sale.
Despite the fact that I didnt get to eat that yum mee udang, my aunt gave me some of her homemade kuih bang kek to eat at home. Let me tell you, her kuih bang keks are absolutely fantastic! The special thing about her paistry is that it has an undescribable texture in its center, almost crunchy yet soft, what a contrast!
I cant wait to get back home to finish all the homework that has been piling up ever since I went on holiday. All in all, CNY was pretty nice and i cant wait to count the money Ive recieved from my relatives, hehe....

The Stalker Is Revealed

Wohooooo! Guess what, you are never gonna believe it, I have sooo made it !I have gotten a post in ED Board!! Although it wasnt the job I was aiming for, I am so satistfied with what I got... I got to be in techniques, which has to do with typing and figuring out people's messy handwriting. I got that description from Aveena.
Such a wierd thing happened today... as I was congratulating my friend, who is a guy as he made the cut in ED Board too, My BM teacher suddenly pulled me aside and we had a little walk and talk. Do you know what she said?? This was how my conversation with my overprotective teacher went:
TRANSLATED VERSION
Tea: Is that your boyfriend?
Me: WHAT!? NOOOO! Thats my friend and we were just talking
Tea: You sure?
Me: YES!!
Tea: Nowadays in class, I always find you daydreaming, are you ok?
Me: YES IM OK!
Tea: Really? Cuz you look like you are stalking Form 1 and Form 3 guys
Me: (Shocked) No, Im good!
Oh My Goodness!!How in the world does she know that I stalk guys during my free time? Well hes not Form1 or Form3 but still! And thats just for fun, I seriously dont like him! Ahhhhh, I feel like everyone knows my hobby now...Hmm, I wonder if she reads my blog....

If You Were A Blackboard I Would Chalk You??

So sorry blog, havent had time to write to you.... and yet I was diligently watching American Idol although Im clearly not American. If I had a picture, I would show you...Haha, speaking of the show, it was pretty entertaining especially when that dude sang his very own stalkerish song to Paula Abdul...hmmm, that song actually relates to me..and my friend Fatin. Yup we are stalkers too. Well, beginners... No, we dont go around braking into houses and trying out undergarments.. Nice song though, huh, the dude who thought of 'if you were a blackboard i would chalk you'must be either very creative or very sick..yeah and the other dude who hasnt kissed a gal yet..awww i think that is soooooo sweet! Saving it for that special someone, and he aint bad looking either. Dude,if your reading this (sorry I forgot your name) good luck finding that lucky gal.Yeah, Fatin and I were laughing hysterically about some of the auditions that were too funny to handle. And we also gushed about some of the cute guys there too..sigh, America has many, many hot guys...
This week, I went for an interview myself..ED board interview....i was practically petrified when they asked me to have a seat. I thought I wasnt supposed to sit or something but I sat anyways...and they told me I had to learn computer graphics ..and lets say I have NO IDEA how in the world it actually functions. Dont tell me to ask my parents, they are even greater dinosaurs when it comes to technology. My dad doesnt even know how to sms people and he asks me to do it FOR him. Good thing I had Photoshop in my comp, or I would have been in great distress. Oh how dramatic! Gotta ciao now, have 2 essays to finish. Joy.....

My Bed and I

Sigh, since school started, I somehow would wake up in the morning with eyebags and a sleepy face. I probably have to get a larger dose of sleep intead of my daily 11.30 pm slumber. Aww, but i like sleeping late cause I get to study a little bit more, and if Im lucky, watch the Oprah Winfrey Show. I guess I have to sleep earlier otherwise I would be late for school again.
Yup, got our school books ...all of them look thick to me, especially add maths. My mum has been pestering me to go for Add Maths tuition but I keep inisting cuz I believe I can study it myself, thank you very much. But of course she forced me to go for BM tuition cuz yes its true, I suck at BM.
Wanna write more but mum is asking me to go sleep. Its 10.30 now...hmm, maybe I can watch some Oprah before bedtime.

New Year Goal

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Ballack scored the winning goal againts Fulham! What a great way for Chelsea to start the new year. And what in the world is Teves doing with a dummy in his mouth? ManU people, sigh..

2008

2008, wow, i have to remember that when I start writing dates on my exercise books. What would i probably do this year... hmm maybe work my butt of studying for SPM, pass Grade 8 piano this time.. blah blah blah, long story short, I expect 2008 to be 90% stress and 10% fun. What joy! With Sue Hsien and Taira gone, school wouldnt be as fun as when they were there.
Sigh, Sue Hsien with all her boy problems, listening to them does make me kinda bored but at least she tells me all her experiences with the opposite sex. Haha, I probably would stay single for a while.
And Taira with her German dictionary, let me tell you, speaking German aint all that easy. Besides, she lives on the same country as Michael Ballack. How cool is that? Probably not to you..
Anyways, I promise to start studying daily from now on and stop after SPM, hmm only 11 months of studying out of 12? What Joy!
